Default Win MX help required

Hi

I have just upgrade to 2mb Broadband connection through AOL.

So I thought I would go back onto WinMX and download some music, but I cannot download from other users, but they can upload from me.

I have tried turning my firewall off, but this makes no difference.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks
Paul

Make sure your connecting as a secondary connection. If you are using a router and want a primary connection, then you will have to enable the ports in the configuration setup for it.

Try a re-install of winmx, it will keep all settings and ive had to do this from time to time.

Alternativley, try using ARES, you dont get disconnected half as often as you do in winmx, and its faster.

Its probably due toi the fact that Winmx is flooded with ghosts and in reality the users are fake. There is lots about in Winmx newsgroups.
