Yeah can try another router, its really annoying now.
Both computers are having the same problems so it would point at the router.
Any other sudgestions would be helpfull.
cheers

When my router was dropping the connection it turned out to be the signal strength on the phone line. It would work ok through the day and drop the sync in the evenings until around 10pm.
BT engineer was called out as a result of logging a fault with the isp and he installed a faceplate on the master socket. This improved the signal strength. Hasn't dropped since. If you try another router and still have the problem then would suggest going back to the isp.
Use of cheap microfilters can also cause the connection to drop. You get what you pay for and a top quality one can make all the difference.

HAve you got the Micro filter in the correct place/order before the Router connection ??

I've had this problem too with Pipex recently. It seems worse since I had upgrade from 512 to 1mb. I have Netgear DG834G router which is running latest firmware (not the beta version) and I also updated Marvell Yukon network adaptor to latest driver too. Made no difference still. My next step is to contact Pipex as I think it is line problem (BT) not hardware.

would agree with the firmware upgrade. my netgear router would stall when my connection was maxed out. they need a small overhead in connection to work properly. upgraded the firmware over the net and problem solved.
