Question How to format hard-disc?

Was wanting to format my hard-disc and install a fresh copy of Windows XP.

Currently has Windows ME on.

Any tips?

Boot the PC from the XP CD ( you may need to set your CD Drive as a boot device in the BIOS ) One of the options you are then presented is to format the Hard Drive prior to installing XP.

I would say this is the best method of formatting the H/D prior to a XP install. You can format the H/D with four different options.

Hope this helps, Phill

Did you install XP from windows? As opposed to booting from the CD?

I would boot from the XP CD and have a lovely fresh clean install to be honest
