Don't know if the DFP comes with a block you put between your legs like the previous DF model, perhaps a DFP user can tell us. The block works ok but the tops of my legs are sore where the nobbly bits stick in. Still, no worse than PS2 thumb which you don't get with a wheel

You're kidding, right? I hate the Xbox controllers with a passion, they feel cheap and nasty compared to the PS2 one

I prefer Xbox, the triggers win for throttle and brake control.

PS2 controller is much nicer than Xbox - the Xbox controller buttons hurt my thumbs a lot with the rounded design.

Having spent 7 + years using the PS2 R2/L2 to change gear in driving games, I just cant get used to using the triggers as gas/brake on the Xbox.

The XBox triggers are FAR better for throttle and brake control, no doubt. You just can't get control with a tiny X button. I haven't seen an XBox-PS2 pad converter and have to settle for using the 2nd analogue stick for throttle control.

If anyone finds a pad converter, let us know !

For all Xbox trigger users, how on earth do you change gear with the buttons? I tried it but it felt like patting my head/rubbing stomach type thing

It's easy. Triggers give you much more control over acceleration and braking, use left thumb stick for steering, then your right thumb is free for changing up / down gears. Much easier than trying to coordinate 2 thumbsticks on the ps2 (I keep trying to steer with the throttle).

I too bought a ps2 at the weekend, and have to agree that the controller feels really cheap compared to the xbox-s controller. Going to be looking around for a replacement soon I think...

PS2 Dual Shock Vs Xbox Controller = PS2 Dual Shock
PS2 Dual Shock Vs Xbox Controller S = Xbox Controller S

IMO The big Xbox controller sucks, Controller-S is the business.

Looks like I'm going to have to hack one apart to get it working on the PS2
Where did I put my chainsaw ?

I have to disagree with that, I find it much more natural to use the two analogue sticks for accelerating/braking and steering. Also find the ps2 controller fits in my hands much better than the x-box controller.

Horses for courses I say.

Depends on the shape of your hands I suspect.

I still say the xbox-s controller (the small one, not the big one) is much better made, and much easier to use for car control than the ps2 controller. I was really suprised at just how cheap the official ps2 controller feels in comaprison.

It also makes my hand ache a lot quicker than the xbox controller does. Beginning to think I'll need to get a wheel to play gt4 properly. Really need a force feedback one that'll work on pc, xbox, and ps2....

Ok, anyone got any idea where you can get the lap adapter for the DFP? They list it on the Logitech uk website, but the only places I've found selling it are in the USA...
