problems with gt4
Anyone experiencing problems with GT4 loading after a race? I got a new PS2 thinking mine was on it's way out, but it's still doing it. Comes after a race and the wee GT logo appears with the needle that goes round...it just stays on that screen.

And why when i purchase the full transmission kit, do i not always get a 6th gear?! Honda NSX with only 5 gears after buying the kit??!?!?!?!?!?!?

TBH, no. I just thought being brand new, never been opened sort of thing, i wouldn't/shouldn't have to and i don't touch the part of the disc that get's read and no wee one's to do it either.

Yep, I had that, my first disc from Amazon didnt work at all so went out and bought a new one from WHSmith. Current one sometimes stops on the whirly thing alternately going red then white, sometimes popping the disk in and out helps, otherwise its a re-boot.

mine works fine - had my PS2 since release day. The guy in game pointed out when I got GT4 that it uses a higher recording density than normal and any speck of dust can upset the game. I thought thats was vinyl

Heard of this problem before on gtplanet - it's to do with having a dirty laser - better go and get yourself a lense cleaner or start taking the PS2 apart...
