Default wireless router

Hi

being a complete novice to computers I was wondering if some one could help. I have AOL Broadband and have recently had the garage converted into a study/office. My BT point is on the opposite side of the house and i dont want the upheaval of running fresh cable through the house , so i think I need a wireless router????

If so, what do look for, what do i need and how much is it going to cost. bear in mind that it is only for a home system and only one computer

A speedy response would be appreciated as the boss has told me that I am moving into there in the morning so need to get back on line asap

Thanks in anticipation

wireless network card (plugs into computer)
wireless broadband router (plugs into broadband socket)

different standards when it comes to wireless broadband, so choose wisely. Each standard has its own speed and distance characteristics.

AOL only supports a handul of wireless routers (check their website for details). I have the Netgear one and that works very well.

Please also note that you must be on either gold or platinum packages to enable the wireless connection.

Thanks, Nick.
