Xlink Kai: Evolution VII is the one to use. I'll be up for trying this.....

Instructions taken from another forum...

Here are the step by step directions to make it work:

Sometimes you need to restart both Kai and Your PS2

1) Load Kai BUT NOT GT4 CONNECTION SCREEN!!!! (This is important)

2) Create a private room with a pass and give that pass out to as many people you want up to 6 people. (since 6 is the most GT4 will take) Everyone should be listed as 0 Sony - 1 Players (or as many players as they have on their system)

3) When everyone is in the private arena and no one is in the "Waiting for Connection..." area in GT4, have each person enter the waiting for connection area in GT4 one by one. Make sure the Host enters last.

4) After the host enters it usually takes up to 1 minute for it to fully connect. After that enjoy playing GT4 online with Kai.

Raced in a 2 car race and there was no lag at all.. Not sure how well it would run with 6 cars all at once... The main ballache is getting the game started and running.

No idea what ports it uses as I didnt need to do anything like that on my firewall ! I'm just using ICS so nothing to messy... the help file within Kai is actually very good and full of info, as is the forum on there site.

Let me know if you get it up and running, and anybody else for that matter and we can sort out a few races, no harm in giving it a try....!

Yeah those instructions above are pretty well much spot on. Only difference we had last night, was the host had to connect first for it to work !!

Also you need to make sure your GT4 LAN options are correct. A dedicated host person needs to be set as a host in options, everyone else in the group should be set to a member. We found last night that if another 'host' trys to join a game it locks up the PS2 !!

One of those things I think, that once you have setup/joined a few games it will be easier each time....
