My Norton and Zone Alarm subscriptions are both up to date, and I've got Ad-Aware & Spybot. Are these going to cover me for the above?

Ad-aware and spybot (unless you have paid for versions) are only for rectifying damage already done, you would need a scanner/monitor.
Nortons will help, along with any other virus checker though.
