Cheap Laptops!
Hi people,
My sister is looking for a "cheap as chips" laptop. When I say cheap as chips, I mean new, and entry level prices, around £500-£600. It will only be used for surfing, the odd bit of word processing and viewing pictures from her digi camera. The kids may want to play the odd basic educational game, but that will be as much as it will be used. I have read a few reviews in magazines, and think Eveshams Quest eXPlorer looks ideal. It is running an AMD Sempron 2600+ with 256MB RAM, 40GIG HD, 15" XGA display and a DVD/CD-RW drive. The battery life is supposed to have been tested at 3 hours running life too, which I thought was very reasonable. It's priced at £499+ £20 delivery. Anyone else know of a better deal? or think this would be an ideal choice? Thanks for any input, it will be much appreciated.
Proby.
