Anyone use Beta Software?
I'm in the process of building up a spec for a new PC - and I'm planning on going the 64 bit route.
Just wondering if anyone using Windows XP64 or even Longhorn or Avalon?
Any good?

From what I've heard, stick with WinXP 32bit... seems people aren't having a great experience with WinXP64 or Longhorn thus far...
But I guess, it will depend on whether you use the PC for gaming and productivity or just surf the net, if the PC doesn't need to be working all the time, install beta.

Beta? Pah, that's for wimps! you want Alpha or even Pre-Alpha software lol
Seriously though, as I'm in soft dev I have to use pre-release versions of both applications (both our own and other companies) and the OS.
Obviously I don't run them on my main system, but on my array of test systems.
Having said that, the iBook is quite happily running the latest seed release of Tiger (10.4) and it seems quite happy with it.
Part of my job is to pre-test our software, so I tend to find all manner or nasty things :d lol.
