TFT Monitors
Fancy a 19" to replace my IIyama VM Pro 450 CRT (still great picture but fookin massive).
Ive read a fair few reviews and like:
-Hyundai Imagequest L90D+ @ £370
-Viewsonic VX912BX @ £350
My question is this - what are these like when running different resolutions? I normally run desktop at 1280x1024 but prefer to play some online FPS (namely CS:Source) games at 800x600 or 1024x768 purely because bigger enemies = easier to see and shoot.
My CRT handles this fine. Will a TFT have no problem changing res when I play games, will it stretch to fit the screen in the same way?
Cheers,
Simon.

I have an Iiiyama E481s, £281 from Savastore. Great monitor barely noticeable lag in games.
You can use TFT's in a lower resolution than the native size but you will find that the picture quality will not be as good.

I run 2 x 19 liteon monitors that are great - running at the res you specified and an iiyama as611ut ... all three are stunning. Only thing that annoys me about tft's is the deminishing light source from constant usage.

I've always gone for Iiyama monitors, but my VM450 pro has started dying. I've just (today) swapped it for one of the 19" TFT monitors from Aria as described above by BlkKnight.
Only had it on an hour, but I'm impressed so far. Haven't had chance to try it with any games yet.
Service was top notch... ordered it about 13:00 yesterday, delivered at work at 11:45 this morning.
