Default Outlook 2003 toolbars

I have two extra toolbars in Outlook 2003 for a PDF convertor and Avery label wizard which appear to have a mind of their own.

I move them to be alongside the standard toolbar - they live there quite happily until I close/reopen Outlook when they reappear in their original places. Same happens if I untick them in View > Toolbars, restart Outlook and up they pop again

Anyone got any clues on how I train them to behave?

TIA

I suspect they will have their own .ini file under their program entires... delete this file (but copy to desktop first just in case). This usually holds your preferences such as last position, opening position etc.

You suspect wrong or at least I cannot find any ini files in any obvious places that relate.

Then right click on the toolbar and choose customise... then click options and choose to rearrange the toolbar. It might save better from there

Been there, tried that at least a zillion times (persistent, me!) First thought I was going insane, but the damn things refust to stay where I want them. If I drag the button from the extra toolbar to an existing one and then drag the now expty extra toolbar off the screen it stays put until I restart when another button appears on a new toolbar in the original location

Have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the add-in that uses the extra button, and even tried deleting the toolbar from within the customise toolbar option completely, but when I restart Outlook the **&@ thing reappears right back in the original location.

I don't want to remove the addin completely as it is very useful, I just want it under control!!

Right.. I just played with my toolbars and they stayed just where I put them after I shut down and re launched. It must be you! Perhaps they aren't 100% compatible toolbar additions

The main toolbars do, it's just these blasted add in ones - both of which are (allegedly) compatible with 2003.

Got the same problem with my PDF toolbar Not only can I not move it, I can't move the buttons into a new toolbar, add buttons (not that I really want to) to the PDF toolbar or resize it.
