Default PLEASE Help !! - xbox and wireless Laptop

Having a bit of trouble.....

Wanted to use my xbox on both Live and Xboxconnect.........

My laptop has a wireless PCMCIA card in it.... and happily surfs the net @ 54mps...

plug in a Xover cable to the back of it and the xbox and the connection tries, but keeps failing with the following message....

Limited or no connectivity

PLEASE can someone let me know what I have to do........ ???

I've tried a few different settings, but nowt........

probably something easy, (yeah right) that I am missing....

Cheers

Phil

You can find it under network settings. Set up a new network and XP should do the rest. Other idea is to try a straightthrough cable instead of a cross over.

One quick idea, have you turned off any third party firewall and the XP firewall, might seem daft but when you reboot you have to turn them off again to locate the new network and then turn them back on after. This has sent me round in circles many times. The only thing to do is keep trying.

Select properties on the network connection, select the advanced tab, and then check the second box down "Internet Connection Sharing".

Not sure you can remove SP2, why would you want to?
