If you have a save game from GT3 you can immediately use those credits!
Physics engine is supposed to be **** loads better.

Do you know if the licence from Prologue counts in the full version??
Know how you feel Shaun, I picked up my PSP in 2004 and had to wait till 2005 - today - for a game to be delivered!!

I've heard conflicting reports regarding Prologues Licenses for GT4 - some say it's the same, and others that they're just like those in GT3.
And also that it can detect your GT3 save game and transfer your cash over up to max of 10 million...

1 milion credits doesnt buy you much believe me. I have all the GT games in Japanese and it doesnt give you any licences you still have to do them. You also get more points by NOT modifying your car. No penalties for crashing or body damage either though the screen does shake if you hit someone or something. Tracks are gorgeous more gradients now cars struggle up hills especially little ones. Nurburgring is great but a little narrow job to get past another car. Just seems to have lost something along the way its good but not great. Put your foot down in the Viper and the screen flies upwards as if you were thrown into the seat.

Can't wait to play it now - wanna see the graphical improvements over GT3 & Prologue. Sounds like some great touches in there like being thrown in the seat.
Is the penalty system in there? Instead of damage when you hit something, you get stuck in 1st for 10 seconds?
Agree with fatmanscooby - think I'll be starting out the standard no of credits and working my way up, no point in denying myself a bit chunk of the game when it's over a year late - taking advantage of extra credits will be like using a cheat.
Is it true that you now have to fuel up in the endurance races? And have you tried any of the 24Hr events?

Only in early stages but so far no penalties and believe me i should have had some i believe you do have to make fuel stops also there is a pit crew who work on the car.

I've sorted my "situation" now.
Just been playing it for the past 1hr and managed a 7:39 on the Nurburgring!
I have to say...... it's pretty special.

Have a look on www.gtplanet.net - there's loads of vids of tracks & also menus, hopefully that'll answer your question - AFAIK everything is in Japanese but stuff like "OK" & "Cancel" are still in English so doesn't look like it's too bad - Car names look to be in Japanese though, not too bad normally but looks a bit of a pain when searching through the garage.

Slightly off topic is it possible to play a PS2 in Hi-Def / Prog Scan? I recently softmodded my XBOx to do this and the results are great.. Wondered how easy it is to do the same on PS2 (hopefully without modding a UK PS2) / which games support it.. does GT4?

Sorry i was busy Menus are easy to navigate yes. Just put an Endurance race in B Spec mode so all i have to do is reap the winnings. No more tedious 2 hr races unless you want to of course.
