computer seizing up after new wirless install
Chaps
This has got me - got rid of my Linksys and went to Belkin wirless router/ADSL modem which came with a USB wireless newtork adapter. So took out my Linksys PCI and set it all up - and works better. However, now I get this problem when, after any time (say 30-45 mins), the keyboard locks up, as does the mouse. Even when I connect say my digital camera to the USB cable, which should run the software automatically, this lock up prevents anything happening. So, I can only imagine that the USB network adapter is causing some conflict that locks the machine - a hard reset is the only answer.
Any ideas as to how to cure this. The USB are all 2.0, (6 in back, 2 in front), and although I have tried to run the network adapter from other items (my monitor and one printer have USB ports), there is not enough power to run the adapter from these - I guess it has to be a master, not a slave.
Any ideas as to how to resolve/cure it? Thanks
Andy
