Sony PSTwo: rip-off "packages"
With the shortage of PSTwo's, it hasn't taken long for the rip-off merchant to surface.
Mate heard that a batch of the machines had arrived at a local computer shop, so he rushed over on his lunch break to pick on up yesterday.
Turns out, they're only selling them to people who'll fork out £200 for them - they've included a DVD player and a game in the "package"

Considering the mark up on these is not much its not unreasonable for people to bundle them in with games. its not a rip off if you get something for you money.
Its just the way of supply and demand especailly when the product is low margin

No one forced anyone to buy one. It's up to a seller what they deem the item is worth. Wether someone pays it or not is another matter.
However, people dont forget either. For example during the fuel shortage a few years ago a petrol station managed to get some petrol and immediatly charged £1.50 a litre. People bought it but as soon as the fuel strike was over no one ever went back there and he ended up going out of business because people remembered what he had done and abused people so to speak.

Yep
our local game had them when everyone else didnt. make no wonder at £199.!!
They wouldnt sell one on its own,you had to buy the package.
now loads of shops in Blackpool are getting them in dribs and drabs.I think every shop only gets about 10 or 20 consoles at a time.Sister got one early last week.£99.
