The dell is about the best deal you are going to get. HOWEVER there are ways to make it cheaper still. First off, if your company buys it for you, they are usually kind enough to lose the vat and secondly if you search around there are dell 5% discount codes and free shipping codes floating around so all in all you should be able to shave another £100 off the price of that dell !

no,not that one i have no idea of what spec it is,just saw it yesterday
btw,a mate used to work for PC World,he says go in on Tuesday,they are fooked that day and need sales,you can basically blag any deal
go try it,my boss did,and he got 300 quid off a deal,which was cheaper than any web deal he could find
worth trying,just walk in tomorrow and offer a silly price on a lappy and see what happens

Well, ok its not XP but you can find a copy im sure 
1 GHz Laptop
And with the £ - $ at the mo, it works out to ~250 ex converter and p&p. Maybe worth considering.
