My mouse is hovering over the 'Buy Now' button, but is this a good deal ? If Aria have been doing this for a couple of months, is it worth holding out to the new year and maybe getting a 19" ?

The problem with the 19's is that the refresh time suffers - typically up around the 25ms mark.
There is meant to be an over supply of TFT's at the moment and it's going to get 'worse' so more bargains will be had.
I just bought the new Iiyama 435s - *10ms* response time and by 'eck it's a great screen (£220)

I think they (ie bigger than 17) will fall a bit but the over supply is mainly 15"s and 17"s so IMHO that's where the keen prices will be.

I'm even less sure about flat screens than I was before.
I brought my PC into work, and tried Doom3 on it and it looked ****e.
Terrible banding on colours that should graduate, and bits that I could see on my CRT were just black. Doom3 is black enough without the TFT helping.
This was on an AOC 17" TFT
Where did you find that Viewsonic one though, I have never been able to find a 1600x1200 flatscreen, which has been my main reason against it.

Anyone found any decent settings with the 17" Aria ones yet? Got my pair today & the colour on photos looks really orangy compared to my old monitor & my lappy.
Apart from that they look stunning, no dead pixels so pretty chuffed (well will be when I can actually get them set up properly).

Grr just found 1 dead pixel, it's stuck on white too

Really hahha, bizzare, looks fine on my laptop. That's solved 1 problem - just need to sort the settings to get the text less blurry & I'll be happy
