But the Nintendo DS looks nowhere near as nice as the PSP it's like they have taken a back step to the early days of their first handhelds, just been checking these out on Ebay lol the prices they are going for is crazy

Pretty comprehensive image gallery here... http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-17-71-7o-74-ox.html
I want one but given the fact that I hardly play on my PS2 that much, I don't think I can justify it, even as a worshipper of shiny things
What's the battery life on the 'real' units? I heard some concerns about power consumption on the pre-release/dev units.

I have just paid for mine today and will recieve on Friday! (Don;t ask me how much as you may find it offensive )
TBH I have hung out on the DS as the PSP is a far superior bit of kit and the games look awesome (it is reputadley as powerful as the PS2).
Will let you know what it is like over the weekend.
Regards,
Shaun.

yep the nintendo DS looks ****e, in fact it has been said it has been modelled on the original dual screen donkey kong hand helds they produced in the 80s, the PSP looks way way better than that.

Battery life is supposedly approx 6hrs - it's in the link that when first out of box it'll last for about 2 but that's becuase they don't come fully charged out of the box.
A few killer titles coming for it - GT Mobile, WRC, Wipeout Pure & Metal Gear Acid - and they're all gonna get updates on a weekly basis apparently.
Can't wait - anyone know the expected UK release? March I think but unconfirmed.
Wipeout Pure
Ridge Racer

I've got a good wind up going on the Fiancee's young brother. I told him that becuase I got my PS2 on launch day, I received an email from Sony saying that I had been given "Priority Customer" status and I had now had first dibs on the first batch of PSP's to get to the UK, I only had to reply to say which branch of GAME I wanted it delivered to and to give a £10 deposit.
This make-beleive email also states that I'll receive the same offer for the PlayStation3 after it's World Debut at E3 in May.
<cackle> needless to say I've taken one-upmanship to the next level - but winding up 14 yr olds is just too much fun...
just remember I need to get cracking on making the printed version of it.
