Talking just got one of those Bush Internet TV things....

Got it for my In-Laws for Chrimbo. They don't have a PC, and I don't think I could deal with the PC "helpline" issues that one would bring!!

So, I got the Bush Internet TV box for them. It's actually REALLY good

I thought it would be pretty naff, what with it being dial-up, but it's perfect for just surfing the web

Only cost me £17 too Bargain.

The only thing so far is that the email section can send, but I can't get Outlook to send an email to it (gets bounced back)

Any ideas?

Dan

I have one of those, bought it a couple of years ago for a tenner but I haven't tried it out yet, they are handy.

Since your mail bounces back it means the mail was delivered to the mailserver at the other end but it didn't like something, most likely the recipient, so check those details again. When you say "it" you do mean the address you've configured it to use, and not the set top box itself?

Steve.

I'm presuming that "it " refers to the address, as the mail doesn't get to the box. Just gets bounced back to Outlook. Being sent from Pipex....

Something weird is going on there:

The following text was generated during the delivery attempt(s):

nannie~annie@bushtv-3.mail.telinco.net
unknown local-part "nannie~annie" in domain "bushtv-3.mail.telinco.net"
Looks like the dot was rewritten to a tilde sometime during smarthosting or local delivery because the final destination saw something other than what was sent:

Received: from loungepc (81-178-109-95.dsl.pipex.com [81.178.109.95])
by galaxy.systems.pipex.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0BFB0E00019B
for <nannie.annie@bushinternet.com>; Tue, 7 Dec 2004 20:24:19 +0000 (GMT)
From: "Dan Armstrong (S)" <scooby.turbo@dsl.pipex.com>
To: <nannie.annie@bushinternet.com>
So I would try emailing helpdesk@bushinternet.com and postmaster@bushinternet.com.
