Default Unlocking a .pdf to enable the print function?

I'v had a proof leaflet sent to me by a printing co but the buggers have disabled the print function! Can this be enabled?

Also is it possible to convert the .pdf back to a .psd file so I can upload it to a cheaper printer?

Acrobat uses super strong password encryption and if printing is disabled you won't crack it without the password. However if they have allowed hi resolution viewing then bounce it up to a very high image raster file (in PSD/Illustrator) and then print. Encryption aware software from Adobe might not let you do this in which case zoom in and take multiple screenshots.
Screwd.

Hello Chris

No it can't. Adobe pride themselves on the ability for people to send out secure files. I normally disable copy and cut of text as well!

Theres no such thing as secure. Security is made by humans which makes it fallible

Why not just approve the proof and give the print shop your order?

Or are you trying to do them out of business?

If you can see it then you can print it. Then again I agree with the ChrisB. Proof print is just that. If you want to enjoy the full benefit of high resolution printing after your printer has laid out your leaflet, then you ought to pay for this service. Pretty sure they would print out a couple of "proofs" for you at no extra cost...
