Wink Music on Ipods

I've had an Ipod for a while, but only recently started using it. I've got Itunes on my PC, and loaded up all my tunes onto the Ipod. Trouble is the tunes are all over the place and in no real proper format.

Does anyone know how to get the tunes saved together in a logical format, so when I play them, they sort of follow on from each other.

Abba shouldn't follow Hard Core House music. Do I need to create folder and copy the song into them?

Thanks Phill

phill, you make the playlist in I-Tunes - on the left-hand side

File, new playlist, then drag the songs in the order you want into the playlist. Easy
The little scrolls with the music notes are playlists.

For sync'ing to the Ipod, make sure you click on the Ipod, and in the bottom right corner, you can change the properties of the Ipod - select the choons yuo want to transfer (manual) and the IPod should pick it up. If not, eject the Ipod, and re-connect.

Hope this helps

Dan

I tried that, but the folder didn't sync up.... Do I need to put the folders in the playlist section?

Thanks Phill

Yes, you need to put the folders into the playlist section

is the music actually on the PC?

You may need to manually transfer any playlists over

If you click the iPod icon that shows up in the bottom right (not the one with the eject sign on it)

You get this input box up

Which one of those options is ticked?

I have playlists in the playlist section (i.e. MOS, November selection) but the folders don't appear on the Ipod.

Yes, I have all the music on my PC, and on the Ipod, just in a Bizarre format.

How do you manually transfer the playlisy over. I don't get on with Itunes in the slightest. It's seems rubbish to me

Thanks for all the advise

Is that all it is ??? I didn't have the option ticked to copy the playlist folders. Somehow, I only had it set to manually manage my files!!!

I feel like a right pair of breasts now

Thanks for all the help, Phill

Doh!!! I take it back now I sorted it out, I have all the folders sync-ing up as we speak. Can't wait to go for a drive in the scooby now, I have 16 days of music, that I might be able to find now.

It was silly before, music all over the place. Some og my music mixed up with my dads. Just what you need 500 Watts of Kenny Rogers, lol

Thanks guys, I can't believe this was so easy to sort out

No problems, Yo know you can create smart playlists too? Eg you can make a playlist that will filter out anybody called Kenny. Or if your tracks are commented you can drop he ones that belong to your Dad.

With iTunes, once the coin drops it will blow you away

It's beginning to become clearer. If I add new files to the share folder, why aren't they updating in my master library?

Thanks for all the help, Phill
