SMS 2003 Discovery tool
Anyone use SMS 2003 Discovery tool?
Am after a list of data that the tool can provide, especially related to PC workstation retrieval.

I presume it can return anything you want.. Depending on whether it still uses sms_def.mof
I have the cd's on my desk and test lab servers built.. will be able to test it later this week if still required, as we are about to migrate 7 - 8000 users to sms 2003.

That's it David.
Working on an Asset Management project and have a few issues with the reports required.
For example IP address (when they use DHCP) and Date of last use (Software) when they have roaming profiles with software delivery on demand!!!
Want to know whether it can return date of last use from software packages (licensed ones) and how that data is captured.

It will be able to do the date of last use if you are using sofware metering.. cant say we like sms 2003 so far..
Didnt modify the schema properly first time.. only been playing for 2 days though.
Other option is that you change the icon to run a scipt first, so when launching the app you log the time of use, and ip add..
Seems a simple request to me
