Default athlon 64

is the athlon 64 bit cpu much better than the intel upgrade time and i might swap back to intel already got an athlon xp3200 and was wondering if the newer 64bit cpu's are much quicker than this one.

I have an Athlon XP64 3200+ and am seriously impressed by it.
They run a lot cooler than P4s & are considerably cheaper & perform better in games & most applications.
P4s still have the lead in stuff like mp3 ripping & are better at multi tasking.

yep as daz34 said. got a 3400 64 and they kick *** big time. all of my games fly as does everything else

Intel Pentium 4 "LGA775 64-Bit Prescott" 3.4F (800FSB) with HT Technology, this is the intel one im thining about getting and it has 64bit technology as well . so im a little stuck on which to buy
