What's the best way to clean a TFT/LCD monitor?

I was doing OK with the dust but thanks to the recent visit of the 9 year old neice, I now have greasy finger marks to deal with..

Wipe GENTLY with a damp cloth. Dry with a lint free cloth.

DO NOT RUB IT

Put it in the dishwasher. It'll be fine

Seriously get some screen wipes or even baby wipes and wipe it very gently not pressing hard and it should be perfect

some screen wipes leave hard to shift streaks on tft monitors. so test a little bit before doing the whole panel.

Keep tissues handy at all times.

Try a standalone DivX player on the big screen for your ****, that way you don't have to site so close.

You can get some 2 part TFT screen cleaners. I can't remember the name but one sachet is purple and the other is pink.

They are excellent and don't leave any smears or smudges like some of the normal screen cleaners.

I'd send you some but I'm all out at the moment.
