Default F$%&^!! Adware!!

I have Adaware, Spybot & Spysweeper on my machine and a very annoying pop-up keeps appearing :

xadso : offeroptimiser

It's doing my head in - how do I get rid of it?

I've always found a firewall usually stops the pop ups?

Zonealarm being my weapon of choice.

Stand to be corrected

Have a read of this.

Plenty of instructions in there....good luck

Myk, whilst a firewall may stop the popups, it won't remove the already installed Trojan so in this instance would be case of shutting the doors after horse has bolted

I'm running windows firewall that came with XP SP2. Problem didn't occur until that was installed.

another vote for "hijack this" - used it yesterday to get rid of a nasty trojan that took over the IE home page.....

Worked a treat
