Default Mac Gurus - Marine Aquarium 2.0

After updating to Panther I installed the latest version of SereneScreens Marine Aquarium 2.0.6, but it doesn't run right. I've tried various versions but I can't find my back-up copy of 2.0 which I know works.

Anyone know where I could download it or, if you've got it email it to me as profile.

Cheers.

Hmm, I run Panther 10.3.5 and SereneScreen 2.0.6 (legit) and I get no problems here or at home.

Are you fully updated with Panther to 10.3.5?

In what way doesn't it run right? I noticed that with my dual display at home I can't choose which fish I want, but here at work I can. Is it anything like that?

You can download them from here

Is it the screensaver that is not working, or the stand-alone application?

Just tried 2.0.6 in standalone and screensaver mode on my G4 running 10.3.5 and it runs fine across all three of my screens.

It's timing out after a couple of days on the security code. I've read that it can do this on 2.0.x on some older Macs, but version 2.0 or sooner is no problem apart from it will not render the bubbles so just leave them off in prefs. The SereneScreen site only offers the latest version, or an update to it. I'll give them an eMail to see if they can help. Cheers guys.

Try trashing the preferences, it could be that something in there remains from when it was a trial version.

Users > Home > Library > Preferences >

The file will be called com.prolific.ScreenSaver.Aquarium......

Just drag it to Trash and see if that helps.

Saying that, my copy does not have a serial number in it, when it previously did. I wonder... maybe the OS upgrade does something odd.

Certainly email them and ask what's going on.

Trashing the prefs is a good idea. Also try running disk utility and selecting the hard drive and using the 'repair permissions' option, see if that helps any.
