Default copper heatsinks

how good are these copper cpu heatsinks? do they weigh enough to bend your vertical m/b nicely?

as with anything, there are crap ones and good ones.

Avoid Thermtake & globalwin

The real beasts can be secured by mounting holes.

I've always used beefy copper syncs and have had no problems - mine's just monuted using the lugs on the board.

Actually I was advised not to use thermaltake from people on here, so I went and bought one - cheapy from Maplin at £24.99

CPU temp absolutely plummeted down to 26degC!! Can't speak highly enough of it!

I bought one a while back (theres a thread I started about it here somwhere).

Mine was less than 8 quid. It dropped the temp by 10C and is way quieter.

Chuffed with it, I am.
