The Mini Daddy

It processes that theres a disc inserted but it never sucessfully reads it. it just comes up with "disc read error". At first i thought that it was tha game that was bolloxed and on removal it was. A few weeks later i bought DRIV3R and inspected the disc before insertion. Obvious as it was brand new it was ok. I inserted it into the machine and again it failed to read it.

sounds like your laser reader is screwed, you can get new parts and have the ps2 refurbed. Quite a common problem.
