HELP WITH DOOM 3 CHEATS

Ive got the cheats for Doom 3

You have to Press [CTRL] + [ALT]+ ~ to access the screen to add the cheat.

But when i press this nothing happends, now i know im being thick but can someone point me in the right direction

when the console is up just type in the cheat e.g. god or give all.

Its the console that i cant get up !

That only applies to US keyboards. For UK keyboards the tilde (~) is in the bottom right, and instead you need to press CTRL+ALT+¬, the last being the key above the tab key. This is where the tilde is on US keyboards.
