Download monitoring
Hi Everybody!
No I don't want to spy on anybody.....
There is a lot going on in the ADSL UK market at the moment - faster speeds and cheaper prices abound.
However, most providers nowadays have a monthly download cap.
Ive been with Freeserve since th beginning and my cap is 30gig (I think) for 27 quid but I'm sure I come nowhere near this each month.
So I was thinking I could go for one of the newer cheaper and faster providers with a smaller cap.
Fact is I don't know what cap would suit
Is there a small prog I could install that would monitor how much data I have dowloladed?
I have two PCs running through a switch It would be nice to have to install something only on one machine but I guess I can add two numbers together if I have to.
Cheers!

I've used this http://www.analogx.com/contents/down...etwork/nsl.htm Sometimes a bit flaky (I think it's no longer supported) but shows access speeds and logs total data up/downloads for all or indivdual IP addresses on a machine. As you say, you would need to add the two totals together. I use it on my Gateway/firewall PC so I can see all internet and network activity.
