What an excellent preview. I was having doubts that Polyphony Digital could push the PS2 far enough to compete with the great racing games released on the XBox... but they have.

The lessons kept me amused for two evenings solid, helped by having the voice of Vicky Butler Henderson - anagram: Kindly observe her c**t - on tap.

I still have quite a few cars to unlocks, I take it these are opened by completing all Silver or Gold?? Anyone know what they are?

Anyone know if there's a controler with XBox like triggers? I can just about manage progressive acceleration and braking using the buttons but it's not as efficient.

you get a car for completing each lesson and another for all golds on a colour section.

43 Golds & 3 Silver here - it's only the NY track that's preventing me cleaning up...

I use one analogue stick for steering the other for acceleration and braking. Just like controlling a radio controlled car
