The 2nd IBM Deathstar died last week
Cheers to whoever gave me the warning on those useless metal beer mats. 
New Maxtor was bought and prepared with all the software ready to swap when I had the time before it failed.
Typically it went **** up on my day off
But most stuff was backed up and is safe

I had two deskstars about 3 years ago, both went only h/d that have every failed on me, quick search found whole websites dedicated to unhappy customers, wouldn't touch one again. Maxtor now
