That's an interesting one. When it does let you through can you click on the applications, then look at the application details. What I'm fishing for are any that might be listed as F:\ ....... instead of C:\ like Explorer below.

Internet Explorer 6.0
Microsoft Corporation
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Permission: Allow Full Access
Rule created on: 7/28/2004 8:37:56 PM
This application has Full Access to the Internet. It is possible for this application to send and receive data with any computer.

Let me know.

Cheers...

Just had a look through them all... and the are ALL C:/..

mmmmhhhhhh.. good thought though!!!!

It's been happening for a good 6mnths... and intially i did try the online help (toooooook ages to get through)!!

They advised me to uninstall and reinstall...

Did that..... but knowt....

I didn't get back to them, as it took yonks to get through in the 1st place....

It not only does when I select 'internet applications', but if I change a rule on ANY application..... the same message.....

Any ideas???

I'm very interested to find out!!

Cheers

Phil

Did you install from CD? If so, perhaps try putting the CD in. That's if F: is your CD??

The uninstall will leave files on your machine, I'll try to get a list of what we leave where tomorrow, or I seem to remember a clean up utility, but could be mistaken.

Support will call you back if you log a problem. Look for the telephone icon on the support web site.

REformatted HDD and reinstalled EVERYTHING

ALL working Sweet now!!

It is amazing how quick these damn viruses get on your pc......

I connected to the internet to download Mcafee...

.. and by the time I'd downloaded both the firewall and the viruscan 23 viruses...

Any way I can get a Hard copy of it so I don't have to download it??

And a big thanks To JACK!!
