Norton Ghost - clone SCSI partition to IDE partition
Need to move a WinXP Sp1a installation from a SCSI drive to an IDE
I cloned the scsi partition to the IDE drive
IDE won't boot - says after POST, boot disk failure, insert bootable disk
Tried running recovery console off the winxp disk, which finds the c:\windows installation on the IDE drive no problem - just can't get it to BOOT
Any ideas ?

From memory windows will freak out when changing the disk controller.
On windows 2000 I did a repair installation from the boot CD to resolve it.
I'm sure there is amore intelligent way of doing it with XP

after a bit of messing around - plugged both scsi and ide drives in together. Booted of the scsi drive
Went into disk manager in windows admin tools and set partition to "active" - did the trick!
Now getting a paging file problem - apparent the page file doesn't exist or is too small - so I go in and set it to 384MB and reboot - but the error keeps appearing! DOH!
