Changed to talktalk, now can't access BT Internet dial up account

Changed to talktalk, now can't access BT Internet dial up account
Is there some sort of prefix you need to put in to the phone number to enable this to work. A Friend has changed his telephone to "talk talk."

If you need to force the call onto BT, prefix the number with 1280
