Bit confused by the "What langauge do Macs print in" question.

I can print from a mac, be it a centris 610, or a G5, to any postscript printer that I have a driver for. OK, so a mac talking to say a LaserWriter might use some specific mac printing protocol, but we're talking about seriously outdated hardware here.

Any mac from the last 6 years should, with the right printer driver, be able to print to any printer.

An example? We have a brother HL-5040 printer attached to a PC running XP, I can, from my Mac (G4 running 10.3.4) print, quite happily to this printer by using a driver downloaded from HP's website.

Hope that makes sense

Any OSX Mac equipped with the latest updates will print to virtually any and every printer without drivers.

Macs are at home printing Postscript as most pre installed fonts are postscript and the pdf engine/coloursync technology are built into the OS.

All in all, if you are going for an IT test, printing from Macs will be the least of your worries

What about the HP site? I know it might sound pedantic but HP advertise their new printers on their homepage. Failing that keep on eye on something like computer weekly or the relevant IT presses.
