New iMacs on the way
Noticed that I cannot purchase a new iMac direct from the Apple Store:
"Apple has stopped taking orders for the current iMac as we begin the transition from the current iMac line to an all-new iMac line which will be announced and availble in September"
Should be interesting to see what they come up with. I'm hoping for a G5 20" Flat Panel, now that would be very nice indeed.

I saw that this weekend. Very unlike Apple to pre-announce something. I like the sounds of this base station people have been talking about with wireless displays. That sounds funky.
Another thing is some rumour sites are saying it looks increasingly like the count-up to 100,000,000 songs on iTunes is actually a count-down to the new iPod.

The count up is very interesting, ok, could just be a gimmick to get to the magic 1 mil, but then again...
I'm still holding off on the iPod at the moment, cycling and listening to music might not be the best thing

I'm looking forward to the new iMacs, had a 17" at work now for over a year and I've only ever had one gripe, which was fixed with Expose

If you have waited this long Markus you may as well get the new one when that's out. *Crosses fingers for next week*

There are no Imacs left at Apple and they will not honour any backorders. We are just ordering all of the stock availabe in the channel as the new machines are unlikely to be hear for SEVERAL MONTHS !!!!
Apple have said they did not anticipate sales at the current levels so stock will be delpeted sooner than they expected.
We still ahve stock of all models at MacWarehouse.
Also the dual boot PowerMac G4s that are the only machines that allow you to run OS9 are believed to be going end of line soon too.
