DOS Batch Files
Visiting my parents this weekend and my dad has just got himself his first digital camera. Now he's not the most computer literate of people and knows just about how to turn the computer on, check his email in outlook, and browse to a couple of his favourite internet sites but that is pretty much it.
I would like to write some sort of batch file so that he can just double click and icon on the desktop, have the batch prompt him for a folder name for this particular lot of photos, i.e "motor racing july 2004" or something then copy all the files from the camera drive (which is E:\ when the camera is turned on) then maybe ask if he wants to delete the files from the camera in a yes/no type option and action accordingly.
Its been so long since I have touched a batch file though I am a bit stuck - can anybody give me some pointers with the code?
Cheers
David

Did he not get any software with his camera?
You should be able to set up where the photos are stored, what sort of name to give each individual photo and whether or not to delete the ones on the camera.
