RICHARD BURNS RALLY!!!!!!!
hello all
i brought richard burns rally yesterday
. and for those of you that like to mess around with car set ups
this is the game for subaru owners.
it has been made very closley with subaru.
i put the game in went to start the first recky and went to the tune car option.
**** me i could not see one option that i would know how to use.
for instance
DIFFERENTIAL OPTIONS maps and torque. all measured in Nms torque. settings include.
max center diff
front diff
rear diff
handbrake relese pressure
leftfoot brake threshhold.
SUSPENSION OPTIONS.
include bump,rebound,fast bump, fast bump threshold on the dampers.
spring hight. spring stiffness, helper hight, helper stiffness, on the springs.
top mount, steering rod lenth, strut platfom hight, wheel axis inclination, camber, toe, caster, ride hight, roll bar. on the geometry.
TYRE OPTIONS
usuall snow, gravel, ect. and tyre pressures.
BRAKE OPTIONS
front brake pressure, front brake bias, rear brake pressure and bias.
you can also remap the gearbox for ratios.
i am hoping some of you clever people
onder2: will get this game so i can copy your setups as i am hopless at this sort of thing.
other than the set up the game has other good ideas.
you can hit animals wondering in the road as well as spectators and get bird strikes on windshild

spectators and marshall will help roll you over or get you out of a ditch. if you have a really bad crash you will be airlifted out of the stage by a helecopter.
one thing i will say this is a "SIMULATION" of rallying many times i have started a stage only to **** the car up on the first corner and can not restart it.
there is a rally school to teach you the basic and advanced skills taught by richard burns and if you get a perfect on all tests you unlock richard burns all time favorite rally car. i hope it is the rally version of the 22B."edited to say just unlocked it and it is the impreza 2000"
anyway gone on long enough. get this game and would it be possable to have thread giving the best setups for each track. BTY there is an online scoreboard so if you have the game put up your gamertag and i will try to beat you all. haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Agree with everythoing said above Rally school is a good learning curve and the pax ride through the forest with Burns is spot on
Well done I dont like to admit it,being an ardent McRae supporter,but this game is better

p.s the only downside is the graphics are a wee bit grainy on ps2

September on the PC. Didn't realise it was out already on the consoles though... in fact the official web site still says there's 3 days till release?

Been playing now for a couple of days IT IS A SIM no ifs no buts There is no arcade feel at all to the car physics which is good for me Crashes are spectacular to the nth degree Graphics are really grainy on the PS2 but the variety of undergrowth and draw distance is spot on The ability to set the pace notes further on down the road is a welcome addition
