Re-directing OE Mail
Is it possible to re-direct mail from my main account in Outlook Express to another PC on my network? My IP is Eclipse and each PC has it's own email account.
Thanks
Thanks

Are you using POP mail? As Steve said, the only way you can get mail on a different PC is to configure that PC to collect mail from your POP account (and stop the other PC from doing so).
Does your ISP allow you unix shell access? If so you can set up .forward (depending on OS and sendmail) files to redirect mail at server level to one of your other email addresses. Failing that do they offer any sort of Web control panel that might have a mail forwarding feature?

You can set up a rule in Outlook Express to forward the mail to another email address, but the person you forward to would not be able to reply to the sender directly (as you would be the sender of each message). Can get around this if they forward the message to the email address of the person who sent it to you.

Lynne,
Sorry, message rules will only work if your PC is switched on to receive the mail and send it on.
Easiest way is to create a new mail account on your colleagues PC with settings to match those on your machine.

Not yet, haven't tried it. Another question, how do I back up and save all messages and contacts? I have some very important emails that I don't want to lose if anything goes **** up.

CommaSeperated Values, so called because the entries in your address book are saved with a comma seperating each part of the entry (icluding any blank fields) This file keeps the info in a format that can be opened by Excel and can also be re-imported into Outlook/Outlook Express.
