I use an XDA

IR or BT are probably the 2 most common. Not heard of a GPRS CF card though.

BT works for me & my lappy. I just put my phone in my pocket and get on with using the lappy. Works fine, so no reason it won't with a PDA.

I use Voda ConnectMe software. Run that, connect and then you can browse/mail etc as if otherwise connected. The service provider is the GPRS carrier. There is a version of ConnectMe for pda's.

Interestingly, O2 use the same piece of software but if you want to swap providers all the time you have to install/uninstall all the time

I did write to them but they've never updated to allow selection of providers

We use BT phones for the connection at work. Straight through to our leased GPRS line

Go to Expansys.co.uk and type CF GPRS. They do 3 different CF cards, not cheap though!

Do you have to stay with Orange? I just got an XDA II for £150 on a £30 a month contract, does it all and you don't need to carry a mobile and PDA about. I have got a cheap mobile when i'm out having a drink etc as the xda is a bit big and bling for the pub etc.
Stick your PDA on ebay and get an XDA.

there are some old Bluetooth iPAQ to GPRS config guides on my website, which may help you get set up.

I have a Nokia 6100 with GPRS enabled and a Medion 250 PDA. The two units connect via IR and the PDA uses the phone as a GPRS modem. Everything works great. I would have thought info will be available on the Orange site.
