I think your best bet is to say whether youve got Windows 2000 OR XP Home Edition.

its one or the other

For you operating system, its also displayed vertically on the Start Menu when you click on Start

Anyway,

I've got a few games that are not supposed to run on XP Pro but do totally fine. I'd say risk it for a biscuit, Back-up everything (e-mail, my document, favourites, photos, files, etc. etc. etc.) just in case and then install the game. If it works then cool, if not then you might be able to run in in Windows 2000 compatability mode (i'll explain more later if required) but either way, you still need to install it.

i have installed the game, all seems ok everything as norm, but when you go to play it, it goes straight to a nice title screen and thats it, just seems to stay on that and doesnt go any further, doesnt matter how much I swear at it !!!!! ( im not very technical with computers ! ) Then the only way I can get back to my desktop is to turn off the comp, the old ctrl alt and delete thing doesnt seem to work at the title screen?

anymore insight would be great??

Which game is it?

Have you tried tech support for the game manufacturers? What is the spec of your pc? Have you got the latest drivers, especially the graphics card?
