Red face Help with virus at work

Our computer at work has Norton Antivirus on it and over the last few weeks we have receiving a large number of e-mails which Norton has quarantined and deleted, but today a message has come up saying 'your computer is infected with a virus which Norton cannot fix'.

HELP what do I do to clear it? Any ideas anyone

Cheers Matt

Buy McAfee !

.. on a more helpful note you can download the stinger program from McAfee which may remove it for you..

Probably a good idea to do a liveupdate just in case. Also, have you tried rebooting the machine then rerunning the scan, (it won't be able to remove the virus is the file is locked / running), or looking in the antivirus logs to see if there's any more detail information available?

Buy McAfee !

I've had exactly the same sort of thing happen with McAfee, (which is why I changed to Norton). No antivirus product is 100% reliable. Norton and McAfee seem about equal in my experience....
