time for a major upgrade, due to longstanding issues,

so I want

1. named motherboard with online support to download new BIOS, drivers etc. Motherboard needs to support USB 2 and Firewire if possible
2. decent processor - use the PC for making DVDs from DV camcorder - not the latest and greatest necessary. Got XP 2000+ now which seems ok
3. at least 512mb memory??
4. Decent case - always gone for cheap cases before, are screwless ones much benefit?
5. Reasonable graphics card
6. Must be able to run Doom3 when it comes out
7. Is it worth getting at least a new hard drive? Got a 40gb and 80gb in there at the moment, both ATA 100 I think, probably

I've got a ATX Ultra-Quiet PSU 300W AMD Approved - would that be ok to keep?
