Question Runtime Error on IE

Can anyone help me please. My PC here at work constantly comes up with an Error window saying:

A Runtime error has occured do you wish to debug? Line: 7 Error: Object Unexpected

This pops up all the time but only on this PC. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it please.

Is this on any website u try to view, or one in particular?

What version of IE and Operating system are u running? Do help/about in IE to determine IE version and right mouse click on My computer/properties to show Operating system. If u have a version earlier than 6, then upgrade it to 6 from a coverdisk or windows update if u have the relevant OS to run IE6.

Or try a Repair on IE from control panel/add remove programs.
Or clear your internet file settings and history, close n reopen IE.

Try emptying your Temporary Internet Files directory.

It happens on 99% of page I look at. I'm running XP Pro Version 2002 service pack 1. IE is version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633. I've cleared all temporary files etc.

mmmmm, k grasping at straws now, get java virtual machine and latest directx9b installed.

I assume although u get the error, u can still view web pages?

Check for trojans/virii and spyware as well.

Managed to sort it by switching on a tab in advanced settings within IE called Disable Script Debugging. Seems to be OK now. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Yeh that will get rid of the message, but not the problem IE might crash in the future because of it. But I guess its a solution of sorts.
