Default Which Steering Wheel...?

Need some advice on which steering wheel to buy.

I have some friends who are playing Grand Prix Legends on the PC as a network game so I need a wheel that will work on the PC. One of the guys has a Ferrari Thrustmaster wheel which seems ok.

I also have a PS2 so I want to play CM4, WRC3 and GT and don't really want to wheels.

Will the wheels work on both PS2 and the PC? From looking at Thrustmaster's site and GAME, they sell them as platform specific? Is this right? What do you people use?

Cheers...

Dave

They're platform specific so you will need 2.

That's just crazy. Now I do have a dilema. I think I'll get killed if I spend the housekeeping on 2 steering wheels. I can't really justify £100 or so to get 2.

Get an ACT-LABS wheel.

the best PC wheel on the market IMHO, which uses a cartridge to enable it to connect to a variety of platforms.

Last months Custom PC showed a USB convertor to allow PS2 gamepads to be used on a PC.
Couldn't this be used to connect a PS2 wheel to a PC?
Convertor is from www.netpcdirect.co.uk/pc_psjoy.php for £8.99

Looks promising... they do mention steering wheels in the text.

Thanks

Yeh, I know it mentions it but these things always seem to good to be true. I'm wondering if all the wheel functions would be carried over.

IIRC, there are some wheels that can be used on both PS2 and PC, but I can't remember where I saw them, possibly gameplay but I'm not sure...

I have the PS2 Logitech Driving force wheel and it does work with my PC because it has a USB connection to connect to the PS2.

If you do use it with your PC you won't get any force feedback though.

Currys and PC World are selling the Thrustmaster Enzo wheel for £60 at the moment. Brilliant wheel, with force feedback etc.

Got one today as my last wheel went a bit wrong.
