Default MS Joystick

Just tried to plug my old MS joystick into my new dell machine and found a total absence of anything to plug it into. I assume that these things use USB connections now.
Q. Is there anyway of adapting the old stick or am I better off buying a new USB one (can't find anyone with one in stock at the mo)?

Cheers

You can get USB to Game Port converters (like this one). There's also one on ebay here.
