Can anyone help please?
When in IE and saving a photo to my HD it usually saves as a jpeg.
In the last day or so it has been saving all images as bitmaps – with no drop down option of a jpeg.

Any ideas why? Is there a setting somewhere? (I’m using Win ME and IE 6.0).

This has happened before but went away after a few days.
And, just to thicken the plot a little – when saving an image that I already know is on my HD as a jpeg - it will save from IE as a jpeg !! even more

Check Item 3a on that list first (damaged or incomplete item in Downloaded Program Files). That's the most common fix I find.

Thanks chaps! I noticed this happening to one of my machines the other day, but assumed at the time that the graphics on the website were actually BMPs. Doh!
