Lindows - any views on it. Any good?
Hi peeps,
Seeing as we are discussing alternative os's at the moment I figured id give Lindows 4.5 a go as it seems to be the easiest to "just work". And if you do the peer to peer download you can get it for ~£12 BARGAIN In my book.
Anyone used it, especially on a laptop?

Where can you get it for that money? Wanted to try it out after the suggestion on angrynorth's post, but there's no way I'm paying loads just to try it, then find it's sh!te.
They don't do an eval version, do they?

http://info.lindows.com/p2p/p2p3.html - $25 if you do it via their p2p network, then $25 = ~£13 at $1.8 to the pound.

not used lindows but you might wanna take a look at knoppix, a linux distro that runs completely from CD so you can have a play without any risk and its open source too!
